About Me
Clementine Wurzbach
Having grown up with a yoga and bodywork studio on my family’s property in rural CT, the work I do is an extension of who I am and how I was raised. My mother is a professional bodyworker and therapist, who taught yoga, dance, alignment and social and emotional awareness throughout my childhood. She served on the faculty of the Hellerwork Institute as a master trainer and my training began with her.
I began practicing yoga in earnest at the age of thirteen as a way of dealing with autoimmune issues and a host of injuries I had from playing soccer, horseback riding and just growing really tall, really fast. These studies deepened during my four years of study at Carnegie Mellon School of Drama where I took movement classes, dance classes, as well as led a yoga based warm up class to underclassmen. During the pandemic, when we all got stopped in our tracks, I decided to complete yoga teacher training with Courtney Bauer and study anatomy. I furthered my bodywork training with Courtney Bauer and got certified in Frederick Stretch Therapy (Fascia Stretch Therapy) through Stretch To Win.
When I am not teaching and offering bodywork I am pursuing a career in acting, singing in a band with some of my best friends, or gardening at my parents home in Connecticut.
“Form and function are a unity, two sides of one coin. In order to enhance function, appropriate form must exist or be created.”
